Christine Wurbs, 88, of Waco, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Beers officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Christine Kettler Wurbs was born December 12, 1925, to Henry & Ella Eickenhorst Kettler in Moshiem, TX. She married Clarence Wurbs on November 26, 1949 and they spent 34 wonderful years together living in Waco and moving to Rock Creek in 1964 and enjoyed country living. Christine was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church of Waco since 1953. Christine enjoyed several hobbies, but her favorites were sewing and quilting. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Walter Kettler; and sister, Nora Warren.

She is survived by her children, Connie Thorne, Alan Wurbs and wife, Vickie, Cathie Rowell and husband, Steve; grandsons, Danny Pinson, Jamie Pinson, Brandon Rowell and wife, Clarissa, Eric Rowell and wife, Cayla, Adam Rowell and Caycee; granddaughter, Tiffany Pace and husband, Dustin; great- grandson, Luke Daniel Rowell.
