Clara Powers

Clara Marie Powers, 82, of Robinson joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 19, 2010.

Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, August 22, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., followed by a service at 6 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Cary Killough officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 23, at Blue Ridge Cemetery outside of Marlin, Tex.

Clara was born June 2, 1928 in Lott to Joseph and Annie Benke. She attended schools in several Falls County schools. Clara married Richard W. Powers on October 2, 1948. She was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. Clara was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rosalie Kroll of Marlin, Anna Nora Glockzin of Marlin, and Dorothea Kunkel of Otto, and a son, Bill Powers of Duncanville.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; a son, Jerry Powers of Waco; daughter-in-law, Dianne Powers of Duncanville, son, Rod Powers of Speegleville, daughter, Laura Powers of Waco, daughter, Lisa Jobe and husband, Mike of Arlington; grandchildren, Scott, Jenn, Dan, Amy, Amanda, Cara, Chris, Brandon, Justin, and Cameron; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Larry Kroll, Troy Glen Ross, Bryan Ross, Steven Glockzin, Zack Zachau, Eddie Roberts, Donald Kunkel and Brandon Jobe.
