Clara Deleon Salinas, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend to many in the Waco community, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024. She was born on September 2, 1946, in Bruceville, Texas to her loving parents Constancio Deleon & Petra Vasquez.
Clara was a pillar of strength for her family and friends. She was always there when anyone needed her support or guidance. Her kindness knew no bounds as she selflessly gave love & care to everyone around her. Clara's warm smile and compassionate heart touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her husband Lupe (Wallie) Salinas; siblings Jessie Deleon, Hope Perez, Kathy Mexia & Constancio Deleon Jr.; son Ricky Salinas & wife Dianne Salinas; daughter Veronica Mata & husband Rito Mata; grandchildren Elysha Salinas, Ricky Scott Salinas, Robbie Salinas, Briana Bryson, Nicholas Salinas, Eulalia Sanders, & Angelita Mata; & many great grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives who will miss her dearly.
Clara's memory will forever live on through the countless lives she has touched during her time here on earth. Her legacy of love & compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known such an extraordinary woman.
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled but we have peace in knowing that she is now reunited with those who went before us including her parents Constancio & Petra DeLeon; son Guadalupe Salinas Jr.; granddaughter Savanna Salinas; brothers Tony DeLeon, Paul Deleon, Joe DeLeon, Pete Deleon; & sisters Nicolasa Morales & Maria Perez.
May we find comfort in each other as we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman whose impact will never fade from our hearts.
Visitation services for Clara will be held at Oak Crest from 6-8 PM on Tuesday April 9th. Chapel services at Oak Crest at 11 AM on Wednesday April 10th. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
