Clara Taylor

Clara Fay Taylor, 89, of Waco, went to be with her Lord and loved ones Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with Mrs. Taylor's family will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the graveside services.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Italy, Texas May 18, 1922 to Ben and Catherine Windham. Fay married O. M. "Bo" Taylor in September of 1939 and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage until his death in 1981. Fay was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always concerned herself with addressing the needs of others and those of her extended family of brothers and sisters. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, taking care of her farm and animals, dancing and spending summers with her grandchildren. She will be remembered best for her green thumb, her chocolate pies and her loyalty to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; two sisters; and great granddaughter, Stephanie Palmer.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter, Pat Palmer and husband, Earl; son, Ronnie Taylor; sister, Elnora Miles and husband, Earl; six grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
