Claudio Ramon

Claudio C. Ramon, 82, formerly of Dallas, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Waco, Texas. Rosary and Liturgical services will be 7 pm, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, with Visitation beginning at 6 pm at OakCrest funeral Home. The Very Rev. C. Benjamin Magnaye will be officiating.

Claudio was born in Waco, Texas on September 12, 1938 to Jose C. and Ester (Morales) Ramon. He was reared by his grandmother, Marie Arispe. Claudio always made everyone’s day with his endless jokes and laughter. His enjoyment was to treat his family to a “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant to eat and it always turned out to be the best meal of the day, and always remembered. When he came to Waco to visit his family, he would always bring many treats for them to choose. Each one to follow “Grandpa” to get the treats!

Claudio was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; uncles; sister, Anita Ramon Aleman; and his wife, Mary Alice Ramon.

Claudio is survived by his children from his marriage to Adela M. Gonzales, son, Ruben Ramon and wife, Dianne; daughter, Rachel Griffen; son, Richard Ramon; daughter, Sandra Ramon; and daughter, Amy Lopez and husband, Vincent. He is also survived by, from his marriage to Mary Alice Ramon, daughter, Cecelia Michelle Phillips and husband, Jason, and Mary Alice’s daughters, Priscilla Y. Chapa, and Alexia G. Najera. He was also Blessed with, 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
