Clinton Dickey
Clinton William Dickey, age 22, formerly of Waco, passed away at his residence in College Station, Saturday, February 13, 2010.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father Gregory Waldrop as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 18, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with visitation with the family following from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Clint was born July 10, 1987 in Waco to Dale and Beverly Dickey. He attended Reicher and graduated from Waco High School in 2005. Upon graduation, he joined the US Army 345th Psychological Operations Company Airborne and served two tours of duty in Afghanistan during 2006 through 2008 and again in the summer of 2008 ending in the fall of 2009. He returned to home to attend Texas A&M University as microbiology major with the intent to attend medical school. At the time of his death, he was a sophomore at Texas A&M and a Sergeant in the US Army. On July 1, 2008, Clint married the love of his life, Samantha Serene Fulbright.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha Dickey of College Station; his parents, Dale and Beverly Dickey of Waco; brothers, Keith Miller and wife, Kelly of Tyler and Kevin Miller of New York; sister, Cassandra Johnson and husband, Kelly of Keller; his wife's parents, David and Dena Fulbright of Waco; sister-in-law, Cecilia Fulbright of Waco; brother-in-law, Dexter Fulbright of Waco; grandmothers, Doris Dickey of Waco and Helen Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; also grandparents, John W. and Anna Fulbright of Waco and Bob and Janie Labash of Arkansas; nephews, Mason, Brandon, Dustin and Austin Miller and Coby Johnson; niece, Courtney Johnson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and many close friends.
Pallbearers will be his brothers in arms from the 345th Psychological Operations Company Airborne.
