Bud Price, 66, of Waco, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with his family will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Bud was born August 26, 1944 in Groesbeck to Jennie Marie and James Edgar Price. He attended schools in both Groesbeck and Mart and later moved to Waco where he met and married his loving wife, Doris Jean Meier.
The joys of his life were his children and grandchildren. He loved to dance, travel, bowl, play pool and play sports. Bud was a Little League coach at the Lake Air Little League for many years. He loved spending spare time playing with his pets. There was never a time a person did not see a smile on his face. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Diane; father, James Edgar Price; two brothers, Paul and John Finch; and one niece, Sheila Finch.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Doris; three sons, Timothy Alan, Cois Dwayne and Todd Barry and wife, Stephanie; one daughter, Regina Kay and husband, Doug Thedford; three grandsons, Cois Barry, Christopher Todd and Troy Alan; one granddaughter, Kimberly Kaye; his mother, Marie Finch; two brothers, Eston Price and James Price; two sisters, Sheila Petitt and Paula Finch; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Those selected to serve as pallbearers are Lee Vohl, Doug Thedford, Darrell Holick, Mark Hall, Brett Haney and Donald DeYoung.
