OBITUARY

Cora B. Cardwell Jeter, 73, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, June 21, 2004 at an Itasca nursing home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gene Boulware officiating.

Visitation will be both Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Cora was born July 4, 1930 in Waco to Garland and Hazel (Strickland) Cardwell. She was a retired restaurant waitress.

Cora was a wonderful wife, homemaker, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Everyone loved her and called her Nanny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Lester Jeter; her parents; three sisters and two brothers.

Cora is survived by three daughters, Patrica Howeth and husband James of Hillsboro, Treleta Wright of Hillsboro, Barbara Webb and husband Wayne of Sonora; two sons, Robert Wright and wife Jeanette of Waco, Lee Jeter and wife Janell of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Wayne, Robert, and Maj. Richard Webb, Jason Nitchke, Paul Lee Dominick, Christopher Paul Howeth, Lee Jeter, and Brian Wright.
