Crespin Rodriquez

Crespin Chavez Rodriquez passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 19, 2024. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:30pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, TX. Family and friends will gather at 10 am Monday, April 29th at OakCrest Funeral Home for a final viewing, followed by a procession to Oakwood Cemetery for a graveside service with Deacon Jesse Garza officiating.

Crespin was born September 25, 1942 in Waco, Texas to Jesse M. Rodriquez (with a Q) and Guadalupe Chavez Rodriquez. He graduated from University High School in Waco and went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Afterwards he went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree from MCC and then enjoyed a 38-year career at the United States Postal Service.

After retiring from the Post Office, he spent countless hours collecting and selling anything from stamps to action figures at the flea market. Crespin enjoyed trips to the casinos looking to hit big. He was also known to enjoy a good joke. But most importantly he loved spending time with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Guadalupe Rodriquez and his oldest son, Crespin Rico Rodriquez, all of Waco, TX.

Crespin is survived by his brother, Andrew Rodriquez of Waco, TX; daughters, Lisa Gonzales and husband, Nick, and Linda McPherson and husband, Donnie; sons, Steve Rodriquez and wife, Christy, and Esteban Romero, all of Waco, TX; grandchildren, Erica Galindo and husband, Ernest, Bryan Vargas, Jeanette Vargas-Castaneda and husband, Ramon, Dasjia Rodriquez-Gonzales and husband, Jose, Jesse Rodriquez, Talia Rodriquez, Miranda Romero, Ethan Romero, all of Waco, TX, and Jasmin Centero and fiancé, Joseph Munoz of San Antonio, TX; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Vargas, Jesse Rodriquez, Bobby Rodriguez, Ernest Galindo, Jose Gonzales, and Ramon Castaneda, Jr.
