Cruz Tobias

Cruz Tobias, 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, after a short illness. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 7, at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Tobias will be instate Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 1 to 5 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mr. Tobias was born in Sinton, Texas to Anacleto and Virginia (Ponze) Tobias. He was married to Hortencia Pena Tobias for 54 years. Cruz proudly served his country for over 20 years in the U. S. Army. After retiring from the army, he worked another 20 years at the VA Hospital in Waco, Texas. He was a very devout Catholic and loved attending Mass. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, and all of his siblings.

Mr. Tobias is survived by his son, Ralph Ramirez; daughter, Olivia Hernandez; five grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
