Curtis (Clarence) Harris, 66, of Waco, was born in Dallas, Texas, on March 25, 1957. He passed away at home on Thursday, July 7, 2023. Friends will gather to celebrate his life at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, with Rev. Roosevelt Fields officiating.
Curtis worked in construction projects for area firms, including Johnson Roofing, Clayton Mobile Homes, Artier Sterling House, A.C. Parson, Mrs. Baird Bread, Piccadilly Cafeteria, and lots of other jobs.
He enjoyed his music and washing his cars and trucks. He loved life and never had a sad day. He made people laugh. You could find no better person to have as a friend. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed working for his brother, taking care of livestock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovie Lee Spratt and Calvin Harris Sr.; brothers, Ray L. Harris and Calvin Harris, Jr.; and a niece, LaWand Harris.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Lora Ann Harris; sisters, Wanda King and Juanita Jackson; and brother, Charles Sneed, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
