Cynthia Sue Benton Young, 55, of Waco passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. A memorial service honoring her life will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd, with the Rev. C. Williams officiating.
Cynthia was born June 8, 1956 to Carlton and Andye Sue Green Benton. She attended public schools in Waco. After graduating from Jefferson Moore High School, Cynthia attended McLennan Community College.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlton Benton; husband, David Young; and her son, who died at birth.
Cynthia is survived by her mother, Andye Sue Benton, of Waco; daughter, Tikita Paul, and husband, William, of Wylie; brother, Darryl Benton, of Waco; niece Veronica Benton, of DeSoto; uncles and aunts include, George Green and wife, Wanda, of Waco, Thomas Benton of Houston, Shirley Benton of Ft. Worth, Sidney Benton of Denver, CO; many cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to her dear friends, Darrell Howard, Dwight Johnson, Glen Summers, Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Ida Johnson, Ruthie Jones, the Bookers, and the Odessy Hospice Team.
