Cynthia Walker, age 68, of Woodway, passed away December 14, 2021 in Waco, TX.
A rosary and visitation will be held on Monday December 20th 2021 at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Avenue, from 6 pm - 8 pm, with the rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday December 21st 2021 at the St Jerome Catholic Church with graveside services to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco
BIBLIOGRAPHY
Cynthia was born to Raymond and Josephine Espinosa on April 25th 1953 in Waco, TX. She graduated from University High School in Waco, and attended Four-C College in Waco. Cynthia worked and retired from Family Practice Center after working at a number of their Waco locations.
She actively attended St Jerome Catholic Church where she volunteered for a number of years. Cynthia had the heart of a servant volunteering for a number of organizations. She was a CCE teacher for over 40 years, volunteered and traveled with eight days of hope cooking and feeding victims of natural disasters.
Cynthia was also involved in Women’s ACTS retreats, Women of Valor, and what most people recall about Cynthia is her love of singing. Cynthia sung for several years with the church choir both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Cynthia was also a member of the Baylor Singing Seniors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Josephine Espinosa, and her brother, Raymond Espinosa Jr.
HER FAMILY
Cynthia is survived by her sister, Erlinda Espinosa; her children, Sonia Davis and husband James Davis; Reilles Garcia, Jr and fiancé Petya Gerlach; Margarito Garcia, Christopher Walker and wife Brittany Walker; and Christian Walker and wife Kaley Walker ; and her grandchildren, Erika Garcia, Jaydee Davis, and Raygan Walker; and a Great-grandchild Ezra Garcia.
PALLBEARERS
Pallbearers will be Michael Boyce Wilson, Jaylon Thornton, Edward Acivedo, Robert Luna, Andrew Blackwell, and Michael James Garcia.
