D Alessandra

DD Alessandra, 79 of Waco passed away Thursday July 22, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be 10am Monday at Cogdell United Methodist Church, 1201 W. Loop 340 with Steve Langford officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque from 6:00 to 8:00pm only.

DD Alessandra was born on September 7, 1924 in Mexia to Thurman and Willie (Fulks) Bunn. She was united in marriage to Anthony Alessandra on November 28, 1946 in Mexia. She was a member of the Cogdell United Methodist Church here in Waco, and was active in the choir for the past thirty years. Her personal life was devoted to her family and her church. She loved her back yard, her fishpond and azaleas. DD loved to sit outside and listen to her music and dance on the patio. Special thanks to family and all her life long friends for their prayers, cards, food and support.

She is survived by her husband Anthony of Waco; daughters,Nancy Guggenbickler and husband Mike of Arlington and Debbie Howard and husband Bill of Waco; three grandchildren, Ashley Wallon and husband Stephen Thomas of Roanoke, Sam Howard of Waco and Toni Guggenbickler of Los Angeles; one great grandchild, Peighton Nicole Wallon of Roanoke; one sister, Helen Morris and husband Gene of Irving; one sister-in-law, Esther Bunn of San Angelo and numerous nieces and nephews.

DD was preceded in death by her sister Arvetta Jackson of Mexia and brother T.V. Bunn of San Angelo.

Pallbearers will be Reed Jackson, Larry Morris, Leslee Morris, Wayne Bunn, Sam Howard, Dr. Phil Cimo, Dr. Michael Cimo and Dr. Phillip Cimo.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ferman Brown, Ron Howard and Gene Morris.

Memorials can be made to the Cogdell United Methodist Church in Waco.
