Damian Salinas, 10, of Waco, joined our Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Rosary will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Damian attended Connally Elementary, where he was a student in Mrs. Mercer’s 4th grade class. He was a very vibrant young boy who enjoyed going out to eat, playing baseball and soccer. Damian loved to go fishing, and knew he would love hunting deer in his own backyard with his new BB gun he got for Christmas. Overall he just loved the outdoors.
Damian aspired to be a Marine, knowing that he always wanted to help others. He adored hugs and kisses, and will always be remembered for his loving and affectionate personality.
He is survived by his father, Benito Salinas Jr.; mother, Gabriela Balderas and her husband, David Velasco; brothers, Brandon, Angel and Edgardo Salinas; grandparents, Benito and Maria Del-Refugio Salinas, Rodolfo and Maria Balderas; and many aunts uncles and cousins.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.
