Dan Ford

Dan W. (Bill) Ford, 79 of Waco passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005 at a local care center.

Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. with the Rev. David Rogers, his grandson, officiating. Phillip Sharrod will lead congregational singing for the service.

Visitation will follow the memorial service at the OakCrest Funeral Home.

Bill was born on March 11, 1926 in Whitney to Joe and Lottie (Hix) Ford. He was united in marriage to Sarah Steele. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodway and had served in the United States Army.

He had been a deacon in Southwest Park Baptist Church in Hamilton and was a member of the Polled Shorthorn Association.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by wife, Sarah of Waco; daughter, Ann Rogers and husband, T.W. Rogers, Jr. of Waco; grandsons, David Rogers and wife, Alison of Garland and Andy Rogers and wife, Kelli of Corpus Christi; granddaughters, Sarah Rogers of Waco, Leslie Kehl of Dallas and Natalie Kehl of Dallas; great-grandsons, Brody Rogers of Corpus Christi and Jackson Rogers of Garland and many friends.
