Daniel Mendoza

Mr. Daniel “Danny” Mendoza, born December 19, 1955 in Crawford, Texas to John and Febe Mendoza passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

As a young man Danny loved to raise pigeons and as he grew older his passion turned to landscaping. Although Danny began to struggle with health at the age of 38, he continued to enjoy landscaping as long as he was able. He enjoyed most reminiscing and laughing with family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at Oak Crest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd in Waco with his brother Joe Mendoza and wife Susanna officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Danny was preceded in death by his father John Mendoza, Sr., his mother Febe Mendoza, his sister Lydia Mendoza, and his nephew Frankie Lozano.

He is survived by his daughter, Liza Daniela Mendoza Ramos; and son, Tony Ramirez; loving girlfriend of 19 years, Diane Sustaita; 3 loving grandchildren, Andrew, TJ, and Desiree; He also left to cherish his memory brothers, John “Cory” Mendoza, Ruben Mendoza, Randall Mendoza, Gilbert Mendoza, Joe Mendoza, Mark Gonzalez, Martin Gonzalez and Leon DeLeon; Sisters, Josie Martinez, Rosie England, Darlene Munoz and Yolanda Gomez; numerous brothers and sisters in law; numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.

Pallbearers will be TJ, Christopher, Georgie, Mark, Daniel, Felipe, Sammy, Auggie, Mando, Justin, and Anthony.
