Darrell Modgling

Lt. Darrell Len Modgling, 58, of Hewitt, Texas passed awy on Tuesday, June 28, 2019 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Chaplain Franklin Robinson officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 pm at Hines Chapel Cemetery, Lampasas, Texas.
A visitation for family and friends was held on hour before the service at the funeral home.

Darrell was born on June 28, 1961, in O’ahu, Hawaii, to Len and Robbi Fern (Wilie) Modgling. He was a guard with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Gatesville, Texas. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a caring and kind man. He met the love of his life, Krystal Mitchell Ramirez in 2010 and they welcomed a baby boy in 2013 and named him Noah. Daddy and Noah loved to fish, spend time at Chuckee Cheese, as well as the zoo.

Lt. Modgling is preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his children; Noah and his mother, Krystal, Trey Modgling and his wife Shay; two grandchildren; Star and Lincoln; father, Len Modgling; brother, Toby Modgling, and special buddie Shyanne, and work friend Barbara Rudy, as well as many other friends.

Pallbearers are; Jacob Singer, David Cope, Danny Hale, J. P. Smith, Andre Cox and Roberto Martinez.
