David Patrick Henderson, 76, passed into life on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

David Patrick Henderson was born March 17, 1938, to Joe Lee Henderson and Edna Elizabeth Henderson in Waco, TX. Pat graduated from University High School in 1956 and went on to attend college and served in the Army for 6 ½ years where he met his wife, of 54 years, Josefine Henderson.

Pat was an avid painter, golfer and loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 36 years of service. He is remembered as a strong Christian man, loved by all, and practicing lovingkindness on a daily basis. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his family and great grandchildren and attending the many sporting events they participated in.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gabrielle Zarecor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Josefine Henderson; sons, David Clay Henderson, Patrick Scott Henderson and wife, Leslie; brother, Joe Lee Henderson, and wife Dorinda, Paul Henderson and wife Diane, grandchildren, Brandon Zarecor and wife, Lauren, Heath Henderson and wife, Kayla, Crystal, Seth, Jesse, and Tyler; and great-grandchildren , Gabby Lou, Cooper, and Cannon; and many nieces and nephews.
