David Lloyd Jones Sr. 78, passed away Saturday. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
David was born in Gatesville, Texas to E.W. Jones, Jr. and Mary Kathryn Franks Jones. He graduated from Baylor University in 1960. He was a banker and longtime administrator of a drug and alcohol treatment program. David loved his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his Baylor Bears. David was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church. His engaging sense of humor will be missed by all his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by a daughter Kira Ivy and husband Terrell; son David Jones Jr. and wife Kim; grandchildren Sydney, Garrett, Emily, Jeremy; stepchildren Sally, Jill, and Mary Jackman, Alison Putman, and Barrett Sandefur; brother, Van Jones and wife Ibby; nieces and nephews Ben Jones, Libby Jones, Kevin Gibson, Amy Gibson, and Katie Browning.
