David L. Morales

Deacon David Morales, age 86, passed away March 3, 2024 from complications of cancer. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday March 15, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 16, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

David was born to Leon and Anita Morales on November 18, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Steven and Andre Morales. Surviving David is his wife of 63 years, Jeanine.

In 1957, David enlisted in the Navy and served as a Seaman. He then served during peace time in Normandy, France, where he met and married his wife, Jeannie. He was fluent in English, Spanish and French.

Before retiring, David owned his own business, ‘David’s Wrecker Service’ and became a Deacon of the Catholic Church where he served at St. Mary’s Church in Waco and St. Eugene Church in McGregor. David was a good man, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. May God bless you David, all your family and friends will miss you truly.
