David began his journey on this earth September 09, 1959 and went home to begin a new journey November 29, 2005. He was born in Abbeville, LA. He served his country in the Navy as an electrician. David worked 27 years in the ammonia refrigeration field, where he was one of the best at what he did. He loved to cook, especially Cajun food, fish, work in the yard, ride his motorcycle and spend time with his family.
David left behind a wife, Joanne Olds; two sons, Connor Olds and Jeremy Olds, all of China Spring; mother, Judy Floyd Olds of Abbeville, La.; father, Gene Olds of Shreveport, La.; brothers, Randy Olds of Arlington and Michael Olds of Austin, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4. A memorial video honoring his life will be shown during the visitation.
Services will be held at China Spring United Methodist Church on Monday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Allen Grant officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Olds, Gene Sams, John Sanders, Randy Olds, Michael Olds, Gene Olds, Weldon Uptmore, and Brad Huser.
David was liked by people who met him and loved by the ones that got to know him. He will greatly missed by all.
