David Smith

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day – 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, David Smith went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. His life was characterized by his love for the Lord and his devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. David was born in Texas City, Texas, to David & Geraldine Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jo; daughters Shelley and husband Mark, Stacy and husband Mark; stepdaughters, Cindy and husband Scott and Deb; sisters, Norma Jean, Deborah, and Carolyn; and seven grandchildren, Chad and wife Renee, Katie and husband Kory, Ashley, Rachel, Tanner, Alyssa, and Faith; four great grandchildren, Justin, Madison, Sarah, and Kash.
Memorial services will be 1 pm Sunday, November 19, 2006 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd with the Rev. Bob Bell officiating.
