David Tepe

David B. Tepe, 79, of Robinson, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Cary Killough officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 18 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

David was born December 2, 1930 to Benjamin Tepe and Frieda Krause Tepe. He graduated from Riesel High School and later married the love of his life, Joanne Tepe on July 31, 1954.

In his last days, he was surrounded by family and friends at his home who remembered how he faithfully served and loved so many. He served his country for 42 years, including service in the airborne unit, and retiring as Chief Warrant Officer. He served his church as a deacon, teacher, and Sunday School Director.

He lovingly served his family and community as a coach, umpire, Boy Scout leader, Master Mason, mentor, and friend. He will be remembered by how his smile would light up a room. Even in his greatest pain, he would flash that smile along with words of encouragement.

His legacy is that every member of his family, young and old, knows Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife of 54 years, Joanne.

David is survived by daughter, Suzann Goodman and husband, David; sons, Mike Tepe and wife, Heather, Mark Tepe and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Sunshine Polanco and husband, Chris, David Goodman and wife, Krissy, Wesley Tepe, Presley Tepe, Victoria Tepe, and Audrey Tepe; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Polanco, Eli Goodman, Audriel Goodman, and Luke Polanco; brother, Herbert Tepe and wife Theora, sister Ann Williams and husband Calvin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Buddy.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Visiting Angels, Bluebonnet, and dedicated neighbors and friends.
