Debra left this earth to make beautiful Easter eggs for angels Saturday July 21, 2007. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday at Waco Memorial Park.
She was born in Temple to Carl and Merle Danquard but lived in Waco most of her life after a few years in Rosebud. She graduated from Waco High and attended Baylor for 3 years.
She was a caregiver for her ill mother many years and during this time learned the art of making beautiful Easter eggs, making little scenes inside and sold out each year.
Debra had collectors from all over Texas and was owner of Debbie's Giftique. The hiding eggs and confetti eggs were popular and the beautiful sugar eggs made by her good friend Rene Acton went fast.
Her sister Dorothy made hand made items and helped her in the business. Debra was lover of big band music and jazz and had quite a collection over the years. She will be missed.
She is survived by her sister Dorothy; cousins Mary Jane and Bill Danquard of Houston, Mrs. Jim Batsell of Brownsville.
