Dennis Alfred Cox, 60, of Troy, passed away Friday. Memorial services will be 6:30 pm Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. with Mr. Johnny Moon officiating.
Mr. Cox was born in Ventura, California to Alfred Warren Cox and Mary Lee Wilkins Cox. He married Lana Blankinship January 24, 2005 in Waco.
He served in the US Army and was a long time nursing assistant for the Waco VA Hospital. Dennis was devoted to wife; his 4 sons and his "Vets" he served. He was preceded in death by his father.
Dennis is survived by his wife Lana Cox of Troy; sons Denny James Cox, David Lee Cox, Daniel Hill Cox, Derrick Warren Cox all of Alabama; mother Mary Lee Cox of California; brothers Dale Cox of California and Don Lee Cox of Washington; mother-in law Barbara Moon of Chalk Bluff; stepson Blake Lobban of Fate, Texas; brother-in law Stephen Blankinship of Irving, Texas and 3 ½ grandchildren.
