OBITUARY

Dessie E. Reeves, 88, of Robinson, passed away Monday, May 23, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Moore officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the Union Cemetery in Durango. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial DVD of her life will be shown.
Dessie was born February 6, 1917, in Durango, to Jack and Essie Pearl (Hulcy) Beauchamp. She was married in 1934 to Redden Reeves, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a retired LVN with 25 years of service, and was a Sunday School teacher for First Baptist Church in Robinson.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Lee Reeves and Frankie Reeves, and a brother, Ruble Reeves.
She is survived by two sons, David Reeves and wife, Bobbie, of Simi Valley, Cal., and Jack A. Reeves and wife, Coe, of Houston; two daughters, Joyce Hayden of Robinson and Barbara Ann Lawson of California; 13 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, and five brothers, Chuck Beauchamp and wife, Velma, of Rosenthal, Johnnie Beauchamp and wife, Pearl, of Hobbs, New Mexico, Donald Beauchamp and wife, Betty, of Simi Valley, Cal., Bryan Beauchamp and wife, Opal, of Rosenthal, and Glen Dale Beauchamp and wife, Jeanne, of Lorena.
