Devyn Izaiah Smith, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2013. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

From the day Devyn was born he touched and changed so many lives, he truly was a small town hero. Everyone wanted to know and meet him and be touched by his love and grace. He taught so many through his courage and strength. When he looked at you with that sparkle in his eye and smile on his face it would melt your heart and you would be wrapped around his finger. Devyn loved being around his cousins, outside, playing with his sister, friends and family, but most of all Devyn loved to eat. Our hero will continue on through everyone he has met and touched.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandpa, Gilbert Foster; and great-granny, Bertha Wallace.

He is survived by his parents, Jennifer Smith and Chris Grusendorf; sister, Julia Grusendorf; father, William Smith; grandparents, Terenda Foster and Joe Minard (Meme and Grandpa) of Eddy, Bobby and Pam Patterson (Nana and Papa) of Eddy, John and Wanda Grusendorf of Moody; and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
