Diana Jean Bearden Cain of Waco went to be with her Lord on Nov. 9, 2008. Services will be 2 pm Friday, November 14, 2008 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kerry Finley officiating.

Diana was born Sept. 23, 1949 in Dallas, Tx. to Rose Marie (Hagle) Slater. She graduated from LaVega High School in 1967, when she was also blessed with a sister, LeeAnn Slater. On Sept. 3, 1971 she married the love of her life Ronald (Ron) Cain, upon marriage she was accepted and loved by two wonderful parents, Robert and Katherine Cain and one sister, Jenice Cain. On Dec. 19, 1977 their son, Robert Lynn (Robby) Cain, was born.

Diana was employed and befriended by Mail Max Direct for 19 years where she was an inspiration to all of her fellow friends and co-workers. She showed strength to all around her as she continued to work while fighting ovarian cancer.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Waco 11 years where she served as Preschool Sunday School Teacher and leader of GA's for young ladies. In July 2004, she gained a daughter upon the marriage of her son to Suzanna Ball Cain. She loved arts and crafts, sewing, and cooking side by side with her husband.

Diana was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Slater; stepdad, J.L. Slater; her grandparents, Jim and Emma Hagle; and her mother and father-in-law, Robert and Katherine Cain.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; son, Robby and wife, Suzanna of Kopperl, Tx; sister, LeeAnn Johnston of Odessa, Tx. and a very special sister-in-law, Jenice Long and husband, Crawford of Waco; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be; David Christian, Brandon Biggs, DeWayne Westerman. Cecil Beselka, Larry Schier, and David Krumnow. Honorary pallbearers will be; Crawford Long, David Anderton and Aaron Naven.
