Diana Cardona

Diana Garcia Cardona, 45, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 9 at Oakwood Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Diana "Tecate" will be remembered for her smile and her outgoing personality. La Tecate loved to cook for her family and friends. She worked out of the home and her last job was with General Micrographics in McGregor. "Tecate" enjoyed keeping up with the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with family watching their games. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Pablino Hinguanzo, Carmen Garcia, and Celestino Piedra; and her grandparents, Isidro and Jesusa Garcia.

Diana is survived by her husband, Jorge Cardona; sons Gerardo Martinez and wife, Tina, Jorge Manual Cardona, Gasper Cardona and wife, Starsha and Marcos Ramiro Cardona; sisters, Lucy Martinez, Mary Rodriguez, Linda Cardona, Rebecca Dominguez and Alicia Garcia; brothers, Joe Garcia, Louis Garcia, Roy Garcia and Rudy Garcia; and grandchildren, Gabriela, Eric, Makayla, Hazel and Alexander.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Scott & White Intensive Care Unit, especially Diana's nurse, Mando.
