Dina Lopez, age 70, passed away on Friday morning, January 3, 2003 at her residence in Lacy-Lakeview.
SERVICES
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco at 10:00 AM with Father Angelo Bertini Officiating.
Rosary will be Monday Night at 7:30 PM. Visitation will start Sunday at noon at the OakCrest Funeral Home at 4520 Bosque Blvd. (OakCrest Funeral Home is located right across the street from the Heart of Texas Fair Complex).
A Memorial Videotape of her life especially prepared by OakCrest Funeral Home for her family will be shown during the Visitation. The Children's Playroom will be open during the Rosary and Visitation for friends and family with small children.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Dina was born on May 14, 1932 in Paige, Texas to Andres and Maria Gonzales. She was united in marriage to Ray R. Lopez on May 31, 1956 and to this 30 year union four lovely daughters were born.
She served the community as a Registered Nurse at local hospitals including Providence Hospital and VA Medical Centers in Marlin and Waco. She was a volunteer for the Catholic Medical Mission to Arteaga, Mexico.
SPECIAL HONORS
Dina was selected for a Women's Leadership Program, which allowed her to travel across the country and receive honors in Washington, D.C.

Dina was a very caring mother, devoted grandmother and had a great appreciation and zest for life.
HER SURVIVORS
She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. Beard of Dallas, Dolores Gutierrez and husband Manuel of Waco, Suzanne Pavelka and husband Paul of Waco, Cristina Salinas and husband Javier of Austin; grandchildren, Michael, Adrienne and Amanda Beard, Manuel, Jr., and Andrew Gutierrez, Richard, Ashley and Maria Pavelka, and Lorenzo Salinas; sisters, Rosa Rodriguez, Connie Villarreal, and Rosie Maldonado; brothers, Antonio, Jose, Liborio, Santos, Zacarias, Ray, and Albert Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 14, 1986, parents and 3 brothers.
PALLBEARERS
Pallbearers will include her brothers, Antonio, Jose, Liborio, Santos, Zacarias, Ray and Albert Gonzales. And Brother-In-Law Sidney Villarreal.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Providence Hospice and to the Alzheimers Association.
