Domingo Cantu Cadena, 73, of Waco, danced into the gates of Heaven Sunday, March 4, 2012. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Carbajal officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Prayer service will start 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Domingo was born July 3, 1938 in Round Rock, and has lived in Waco since 1959. He was a construction worker and evangelist.
He was preceded in death by parents, Juan and Santos Cadena, and two brothers, Juan and Moses.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Lydia Cadena; four sons, George Cadena and wife Sylvia, Paul Cadena and wife Olivia, Adam Cadena, and Joel Cadena and wife Alicia; five daughters, Dellia Smith, Margaret Cruz and husband Gilbert, Mary Saucedo and husband Tony, Annette Butler and husband Otha, Lydia McKinney and husband Marcus; and special family member, Alicia Mendez; brothers, Paul, Robert, Jimmy, and Raymond; sisters, Elvira, Anita, Mary, Patsy, Caroline, and Esther; 33 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John Smith III, Steven Saucedo, Nicholas Rodriguez, Nick Cadena, Chris Cadena, and Allen Bleemel. Honorary pallbearers will be Lexus, Osea, Alyssa, Paul, and Matthew Cadena.
