Dona Sharon Rozelle Moore Puckett, 63, a Waco native, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at her residence in Harlingen.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. David Story officiating. Music will be performed by Marian McElroy.
Dona was born in Waco on May 12, 1943 to Jack and Marjorie Pearce Rozelle. Dona graduated from Waco High School in 1961. She spent her working years in Waco in the diverse businesses owned and operated by Paul Meyer and Dr. Wayman Spence. While living in Marfa, she was an area clerk for the Rio Grande Electrical Coop until her retirement due to health reasons in January, 2007.
Dona and her husband of 26 years, Lee Puckett a retired Waco funeral director, moved to Harlingen just three months ago.
She is survived by her husband Lee; two sons, Brian Moore of Eddy and Scott Moore of Iowa Park; one step-daughter, Megan Martinez of Mercedes; two grandsons, Brandon Moore and Ray Moore; 2 granddaughters, Johanna Pettersson and Gabriela Martinez.
Dona possessed a great zest for life. Her imaginative and creative parties along with her talented skills as a hostess were eagerly anticipated by her guests. Dona was also a published poet.
