Don Sharp, 77, of Waco, died peacefully at his home Thursday morning, January 23, 2014. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Reverend Chuck Treadwell officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with Don’s family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mr. Sharp was born January 17, 1937 in Russell Springs, Kentucky along with his identical twin brother, Ronal, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Sharp and his family moved to Waco from Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1976 to become Vice-President of Big Red, Incorporated. Later he became President and Chairman of the Board of Big Red and was instrumental in elevating the regional soft drink to the national level.

Mr. Sharp served his community on several boards, one of his favorite being the Boys and Girls Club. He also served on the Board of Directors of the former Texas National Bank of Waco and was currently serving on the Board of Directors of The First National Bank of Central Texas.

He is survived by his children; Donal Steven Sharp of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Deborah Jo Antoniolli and husband, Remo of Scottsdale, Arizona and Brad Smith Sharp of Waco; grandchildren, Deanna Lynn Starling and husband, Sam, Ian Michael Antoniolli, Brady Sharp and Sydney Anne Sharp; great-grandchildren, Piper, Makenzie and Harrison Starling; and former spouses, Johnnie Ann Sharp and Linda Wishart.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Jim Turner, Ernie Kuehne, Randy Roberts, Darren Callaway, Hack Branch, Chad Justice, Monte Hulse, Pat Kramer, Brady Sharp and Ian Antoniolli. Honorary pallbearers will be Reed Harrod, Doug Aaron, Bubba Myers, Kenton Hopper and Eddie L. Owens.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Boys and Girls Club of Waco, 2101 Alexander Waco 76708 or to St. Paul's Episcopal Day School, 517 Columbus Avenue Waco 76701
