Donald Jackoskie

Donald Forrest Jackoskie, 61 of Waco passed away on Saturday August 5, 2006 in Waco. Services will be 10 am Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Lewis officiating. Military graveside rites will be 3 pm Wednesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Donald was born on September 20, 1945 in Waco to Benjamin Forrest and Thelma Lucille (Gilmore) Jackoskie. He grew up and attended school in Waco, and married Ginny on February 2, 1968. Donald was drafted into the U.S. Army on May 23, 1968 and served during Vietnam. Some of the many awards he received were the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Entry Badge, Air Medal, Expert Sharp Shooter Medal, Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, John Phillips.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Lynette Walsleben and husband Terry of Valley Mills; grandchildren, Kevin, Chasity and Christian; sisters, Barbara Davis of Waco and Patricia Jones and husband Avery of Granbury; pastor, Judy Lewis of Hewitt and ex-wife, Ginny Jackoskie of Waco.
