Doris Ellen Pilgrim, 88, surrounded by family, left this life and passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday May 21, 2017. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 24th at Oakcrest Funeral Home.
The family will have a private burial at Bosqueville cemetery.
Doris was born on Nov 14, 1928 in Christoval, TX to Walter E. Rambo and Martha (Lancaster) Rambo. She was raised in Marble Falls, TX and worked for many years as a telephone operator.
Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very dedicated to her family and was loved by all who knew her for her kind and loving way.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry L. Pilgrim Jr.; a son, Jerry L. Pilgrim III; four brothers, one sister, one son-in-law and a great-great granddaughter.
Doris is survived by her daughters Pauline Kosar and husband Lary of Bosqueville, TX, Peggy Cooper, Annie DeFoe and Donna Pilgrim, all from Waco, TX. Son, Johnny L. Pilgrim of McGregor, TX; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren and many friends.
