Faye Hardin was born in the small community of Frosa, of Limestone County near Groesbeck, to the late Charlie B. Ward and Camilla Lee Fleming Ward. Her final resting place is very near her place of birth. She never strayed far from this part of Texas, and never felt the need to leave the area near Prairie Hill and Waco. She began her 76 years of married life with Victor Mark Hardin on November 17, 1935. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker, excelling as a seamstress and a person that enjoyed her flowers and gardens wherever she lived. Her primary goal throughout her life was to provide for the care and comfort of her family. To achieve this goal, she became well known as a model wife and mother, while often providing a temporary home to members of her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Porter Ward and Garlin Ward; and a sister, Lela Seawright.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Mark Hardin; two daughters, Nancy Thomason and her husband, Henry of Waco, and Dorothy Weatherly and her husband, Lee of Richardson; two granddaughters, Vicki Zoch and her husband, Randy of Wylie and Camille Thomason of Austin; two grandsons, Brad Weatherly and his wife, Lana of Prosper and Chris Weatherly of McKinney; great grandson, Ky Lewis of Dallas; and great granddaughters, Haylee and Rylee Weatherly of McKinney, Katy and Caroline Weatherly of Prosper; plus numerous nieces and nephews in the Waco, Meridian, Austin and Fort Worth areas.
