Dorothy Hontz

Dorothy Irene Hontz, 84 of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at a local care center. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3 at the Central Presbyterian Church, 9191 Woodway Dr. with the Rev. David Reed officiating.

Dorothy was born on September 5, 1921 in Allentown, PA to Frank and Martha (Schreiter) Pelland.

She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the Allentown Hospital Nursing Alumnus.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd L. Hontz of Waco; daughter, Karen E. Groman and husband David of Waco; son, Philip L. Hontz of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Peter Groman and wife, Michelle of Irving and Mark D. Groman of West; great-grandsons, Ryan N. Groman of Irving and Ashton R. Groman of China Spring; great-granddaughter, Courtney J. Groman of Waco; sisters, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick of Riegelsville, PA and Charlotte Mammana of Easton, PA.
