Dorothy A. Hykel of Robinson passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, with her family at her side.

The family will receive visitors from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 8:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday. Nov. 5, at St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West.

Dorothy was born the daughter of Louie J. and Elizabeth (Wachsmann) Olsovsky. She shared a marriage of love and devotion for 40 years with Jerry E. Hykel who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Bertha R. Kousal; brother-in-law, Bill Walters; niece, Irene Warren; and nephew, Frank Kousal III.

Left to cherish her memory is son, Gary E. Hykel and wife Brenda; daughter, Janet L. Kavanaugh and husband, Gary Owen; daughter, Nancy E. Sulak and husband, Duane; son, Brian A. Hykel and wife, Sheila. Grandchildren: Jessica and Steven Hykel; Clint and Kayla Kavanaugh; Aaron and Adam Sulak; Kyle, Ryan and Devin Hykel.

Also surviving are her sisters, Lena (Magdlen) Kallus, Louise Walters, Irene Patterson, Teresa Compton, one brother Louie Olsovsky, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Baylor University Language and Literacy Clinic, 1300 S. 7th, Neill Morris Hall, Waco, Tx 76798 Attention: Dr. Ritter.
