Dorothy Ann Lampert, 85, after living a full life, and a week in a local hospital, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2012.Dorothy will lie in state from 8 – 12 Tuesday July 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Dorothy Lampert will be held at 10am Thursday, July 5 at the Highland Baptist Church with Mark Wible officiating.

She was born to Russell Todaro and Abby Webb Todaro on April 29, 1927 In Waco. She has been an active member of Highland Baptist Church for over 20 years. She met Ollie Lampert at Emanual Baptist Church, after each had lost a spouse. They married on May 26, 1978.

Dorothy retired from Baylor’s School of Business, where she was the assistant to the Dean for over 20 years. She loved taking care of her flowers and garden. She was an avid reader, and would rather read than watch movies. She loved spending time with her family and being with her grandchildren.

Dorothy is not lost—we know she is in the blessed arms of Jesus. She is alive in the memory of all who knew her. She was faithful to the end of days. Dorothy is an example of a life lived with endurance through all the struggles of pain and problems.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Ollie Lampert; daughter, Elizabeth Williamson and husband, Bruce; step children, Shirley Rich and husband, Randy, Steven M. Lampert and wife Mary, Stuart Lampert and wife Charabe; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and her brother.
