Dorothy Pringle

Dorothy G Pringle passed away peacefully on Wed. Dec. 2, 2015, at the age of 92. A memorial celebration will be 2:00 p.m., Sat. Dec. 12, 2015, at Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Carbajal officiating. lnurnment will be private in Waco Memorial Park.

Dorothy was born September 20, 1923, in Meridian, Texas, the daughter of the late C.G. Battle and Lena (Kruger) Golden.

Dorothy was a graduate of Meridian High School and throughout her life, she was an active vivacious woman who enjoyed music, dancing and shopping.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco and was active in the Sunday school program in earlier years. Dorothy was also an active member of DPSOA Women's Auxiliary and TASA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Capt. Ed D. Pringle, her two brothers, Robert and Vernon Golden and sister Lena Mae Standefer.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandi Pilkenton and husband Terry, Sharla "Rusti" Smith; a granddaughter, Karlee Smith-Gardner and husband Chester Gardner, Jr. and a great grandson, Trey Gardner.
The family extends a special thanks to Providence Hospice and the CHF Clinic of Providence for the love and excellent care of Dorothy.
