Dorothy Dean Whisenhunt, 86, of Hewitt, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 at Providence Medical Center of Waco.
Her memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., with Dr. Carroll Hambrick officiating and LaDonna Fleming as soloist.
A private burial will be held later at the Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.
Dorothy was born November 3, 1922 at McGregor to Benjamin and Nola (Ward) Dugger, and she has lived in the Waco area all of her life.
Dorothy attended schools at South Bosque, and she was a member of the Beverly Hills Baptist Church. She was a sales clerk in the jewelry department of Gibson's Department Store in Waco for 20 years.
She is survived by two brothers, L.T. Dugger of Robinson, and Jesse Dugger and wife, Lucy of Hewitt; a sister, Laverne Benson and husband, Thomas of Waco, and numerous nieces and nephews.
