Dorris Evelyn Fletcher, 69 of Waco passed away early on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Services will be 11:30 am Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Dorris will lie instate between 1 and 6pm on Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

Mrs. Fletcher was born on February 12, 1937 in Charlie, Texas to Joe and Katherine (Smith) Peters. She was a long time Waco resident. Dorris was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She married H.L. Fletcher, Jr. on June 12, 1953. They were married 43 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dorris was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Katherine Peters, her beloved husband, H.L. Fletcher, Jr. and a brother, Charles Peters.

She is survived by her two daughters, Liz White and husband Skip of Waco, Susie Clark and husband Mike of Lorena; grandchildren, Brian White, Eric White, Jessica Clark and Jennifer Aiello and husband Jacob; sister, Linda Barry of New Jersey; brother, Kenneth Peters of Wichita Falls and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian White, Eric White, Jacob Aiello and Matt Strahan, Dustin Anderson and Clayton Hodges.
