Douglas Burton
Douglas Burton, 87 of Waco passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at a local hospital. Services are 1:00 pm Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Willhite and Rev. Dan Roberts officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Douglas was born on November 28, 1916 in England to Alfred Harrington and Lillie Faith (Townsend) Burton. He was united in marriage to Reva Roberts on June 18, 1941 in Hamilton, who preceded him in death on December 12, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his son Rick Burton in 1996. Douglas was also a WWII Veteran.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Melanie Richards-Hill and husband Coy; great-grandsons, Colby and Ryan Richards all of Waco.
