Douglas Jones

passed away on Thursday. Services will be 10 am Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Brother Bill Schibler and James Price officiating.

Douglas was born on November 29, 1948 in Waco to Loyd and Faye (Smith) Jones. He was united in marriage to Esther Sanchez. Douglas was a member of the Golinda Baptist Church and had retired from Davis Iron Works. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Elizabeth Dawson.

He is survived by his wife Esther of Lorena; sons, Darrell Wayne Jones of Bruceville and Bobby Jo Nichols and wife Angela of Eddy; daughters, Dawn Jones of Robinson, Sulena and Frances Jones of Lorena, and Tabatha Jones of Robinson; brother, Roger Jones and wife Linda of Wills Point, Loyd Jones of Chilton, Billy Jones of Spring Valley, Charley Jones and wife Joleane of Whitney and Doyle Farney and wife Linda of Golinda; sister, Mary Quinones of Waco; sister-in-law, Molly Jones of Spring Valley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scott Ashley, Mark Rameriz, Mike Freeman, Kenneth Roudabush, Brandon Nichols and Carl Don Bennett.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Felix Torres, Vernon Riger, Doyle Farney, Melvin Lankford, Johnny Salazar, Lupe Garza, Johnathon Miller, Beau Casey, All of his soft ball girls, extended children and dear friends.
