Eddie Foreman, 63, of Hewitt, passed away Thursday, May 08, 2008 at Providence Health Center.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Woodway United Methodist Church on Highway 84 with Dr. Jeff Smith, Dr. Bill Austin and Rev. Cleon Flannigan officiating.
Eddie was born December 27, 1944 in Morton, Mississippi to Frank and Wydell Foreman. He began a career in law enforcement in August 1966 with the Port Gibson, Mississippi Police Department.
Eddie worked for several Police agencies throughout his distinguished career including the Corsicana Police Department, Navarro County Sheriff's Office and the Pearl, Mississippi Police Department. For the past 30 years, Eddie was commissioned as a Special Texas Ranger with the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raiser's Association.
From 1996 to 2002, Eddie served on the Hewitt City Council as a Councilman, Mayor Pro-Tem and Mayor of Hewitt from 2000-2001.
Eddie married Bobbie Armstrong in Jackson, Mississippi on November 23, 1967.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie; daughters, Deborah Shoemaker of Katy, TX, Karen and her husband Michael Chirhart of West, TX and 3 grandchildren.
