Eddie W. Witt, 93, of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2010.
Graveside service with military honors will be 2 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Paul Krupika officiating. Viewing will be 12 noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Eddie was born near McGregor to Charley and Emma Witt, and he proudly served his country in WWII. He worked as a foreman at McLennan County Electric Co-Op from 1947 to 1983.
Afterwards, he worked at the Lake Air Little League Ball Park until 2000. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 121 for over 55 years. He loved music, playing the violin and singing in his band.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann Louise Witt; his son, Reggie Witt; and 10 siblings.
Eddie is survived by his daughter, Sherry Campbell and her husband, Chuck, of Dallas; granddaughter, Christi Jones of Waco; and great-grandson, Bryce Jones; and sister, Matilda Hix of Burleson.
