Edna L. Hill, 67, of Waco, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 4, 2004, at her residence after a long, brave bout with cancer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Martin officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video of her life will be shown.

Edna was born February 13, 1937, in Temple to Loys and Ada (McKamie) Hamrick. She married Clinton Ray Hill in Moody on May 12, 1956. She was a member of Cogdell United Methodist Church for 45 years.

She moved to Waco in 1947, and worked at Piccadilly, Drug Emporium, and Marathon Battery. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. Even during her illness, she was always smiling and supporting everyone else.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James, who passed away in 2001.

She is survived by her husband, Clinton R. Hill; two daughters, Janet Reiske and her husband Kevin of Waco, and Kathy Murphree and her husband Steve of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Hill of Robinson; brother, Joe Hamrick and wife Barbara of Moody; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family appreciates the care provided by Providence Hospice and the American Cancer Society, and memorials can be made to either of them.
