Mass of Christian Burial for Ed will be Monday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Waco.

The Visitation will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Ed was born on August 31, 1935 in Tours, TX, to Eddie and Pauline Kruse Brem. He was the eldest of five
sons. He graduated from West High School in 1955. After graduation he went on to sales and
restoration of churches and church furniture. He had a talent and love for designing and decorating
churches. He was salesman of the year for Imperial Woodworks. In 1957, he married his wife, Billie
Dean Watson of almost 64 years. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Ed was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco and served on the parish board and
served as Eucharistic Minister for many years. He and Billie were instrumental in the growth of Holy
Cross Cemetery in Waco, TX.

Ed was an avid accordion player and help start the accordion club in West. He enjoyed participating in
WestFest activities. Ed and Billie traveled extensively with a group of friends. Ed and Billie made a
couple trips to Germany to visit German relatives. They hosted one distant cousin through the foreign
exchange program and loved every minute of it.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother in law, William and Earl Dean Watson;
and two brothers, Elmer and Ollie; sister-in-law, Barbara Brem; granddaughter, Mira Brem.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Dean of Lorena; brothers, Marvin Brem of Lacy Lakeview, and Herbert
Brem and wife, Edith of West; son, Ed Brem and wife, Cindy of Hewitt; daughter, Debora Brown and her
husband, Stan of Lorena; son, James Brem and his wife, Karen of Jewett; and son, Gary Brem of
Farmersville; grandsons, Chris Brem, Aaron Brem, Trent Brown and wife, Kayla, Nicholas Brown, Nathan
Brown and wife, Tascee, Ethan Brem, Owen Brem, Wiley Brem, Levi Brem, and Micah Brem;
granddaughters, Megan Brown and husband Sean Warren, Kali Brem Gwin, Samantha Brem, Sarah
Brem, and Paisley Keith; sister-in-law and husband, Sandra Watson and Grover Rogers of Lorena; sister-
in-law, Debbie Brem of China Spring; his wife’s aunt, Jeannine Shields Harding of Eddy; great
grandchildren, Cullen Jack and Davy Helen Brown, and Jack Shepard Warren.

The grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the
friends and family that have called and helped us through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Cemetery, care of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of
the Assumption in Waco, Texas.
