Edward Raymond Mayer, 70, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at Rosemound Cemetery, Waco.

Mr. Mayer was born December 12, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa to Walter and Alice (Arp) Mayer. Edward grew up in Davenport, and graduated grom Davenport High School in 1958, then served two years in the United States Navy. Ed married Kay Trenshaw, moved to Waco in 1968 and worked in sales for Mosley Machinery. He loved his "dream houseboat" and spent his spare time on it with family and friends. Ed also loved music, always thinking of inventions and marketing. He was a member of SME (Society Manufacturers of Engineering).

Edward is survived by his daughter Pamela Mayer; son, Gregory Mayer; sisters, Cathy Grimshaw and husband, Mark, and Barbara Paasch and husband, Earl; grandchild, Christa; and several nieces and nephews.
